Residential auctioneer Harman Healy achieved a 60% success rate at its 2 October auction at Kensington town hall, W8. Of the 64 lots offered, 11 were sold prior to the auction and 25 were sold in the room. Highlights included a former Cornish pub, which sold for £102,000.
Bristol brings in £5.5m
The Hollis Morgan residential property auction in Bristol saw a 77% success rate, selling 30 of the 39 lots on offer. A total of £5.5m was raised at the sale, which took place at All Saints Church, Clifton, Bristol on 1 October.
West Midlands farms sell
Two Shropshire farms sold for a total of £1.9m at the Halls Battlefield auction at Lion Quays Hotel, Weston Rhyn. The first lot, Pentre Kenrick Farm, comprised a nine-bedroom farmhouse and 161 acres of agricultural land. The farms were the only two lots at the auction, reflecting a 100% success rate.
McHugh & Co hits £16m
McHugh & Co sold 35 of 46 lots offered at its 1 October auction – a 77% success rate. A total of £16m was raised at the sale, which took place at Bafta, Piccadilly, W1. Sales included a six-flat block at 362 Camden Road, N7, which sold for £1.2m.
Clive Emson toasts 25 years
Property auctioneer Clive Emson raised more than £10,600 at a charity lunch celebrating the firm’s
25th anniversary. The event was in aid of the Young Lives Foundation, which helps disadvantaged youths.
