Sheffield city council has given the green light for a Chinese developer’s £65m mixed-use development in the city centre.
The scheme, funded by Chinese group New Era developments, is set to transform the area between London Road and Bramall Lane.
It includes shops, restaurants, and a 700-bed student housing scheme.
Jerry Cheung, managing director of New Era Development (UK), said: “New Era Square is a landmark development for the city of Sheffield that will see the area transformed into a cosmopolitan, international, multicultural square which is available to all.”
