Grosvenor names Asia Pacific chief

Grosvenor Group has appointed Ben Cha as chief executive of the Asia Pacific business.

He will join on 29 September and will take up the role on 31 March 2015, following a handover with Nick Loup, who steps down after a 25-year career with Grosvenor.

Cha was previously managing director, head of global real estate, Greater China, with UBS Global Asset Management.

Mark Preston, Grosvenor Group’s chief executive, said: “By building on our past achievements and the strong partnerships we have forged throughout the region, we are in a solid position to continue to expand our Asian presence.”

The firm has been in the Asia Pacific region for 20 years and its long-term capital allocation plan for the region is 10-20%.
