FINANCE: Nationwide has appointed Deloitte to advise on the preparation of a £1bn UK NPL portfolio that could be launched in the coming weeks.
Project Carlisle comprises loans secured against around 200 UK commercial properties located mostly in the regions, with some London assets.
Potential buyers have been told that the NPL will be launched imminently although they are still awaiting access to the data room.
The expected sale comes as Cushman & Wakefield predicts that European real estate loan sales will break the €60bn (£47bn) mark this year.
