Liverpool’s derelict former Rapid building is to be turned into 192 student flats under new plans lodged by Legacy Student Living.
The plans would see the hardware company’s former 80,000 sq ft office on Renshaw Street – vacated in 2009 – turned into a 12-torey tower.
The property has stood empty since then, despite Grosvenor – which built Liverpool One – buying the site in 2009.
