CBRE promotes UK property management lead to global role

CBRE has promoted Emma Buckland to global president of property management.

Buckland was previously head of the UK property management business. She replaces Chris Connelly, who has been named chief executive, advisory services, Americas.

In her new role, Buckland will directly lead the Americas property management business and oversee a global business that manages a portfolio of more than 2.7bn square feet. Prior to joining CBRE in 2016, she led EMEA operations for FICO, a NYSE-listed analytics company, and worked at Goldman Sachs, where she managed a client-facing operations team in the European securities division.

“Emma has proven to be an innovative and inspiring leader for our UK property management business,” said Jack Durburg, CBRE’s global chief operating officer. “She combines technical and operating knowledge with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and our clients and people hold her in high esteem. These attributes will serve her well in innovating, differentiating and driving our property management business in the Americas and across the globe.”

Connelly will assume his new role effective immediately, and will also continue as global president of property management until Buckland assumes her new role on 1 January 2020.
