Almost a tenth of the 550 Thomas Cook stores ‘saved’ by Hays Travel this week are likely to close.
The stores are each within 100m of one of Hays 190 existing outlets, with 33 within 50m.
Hays had said it would try to keep all of the Thomas Cook stores open, but acknowledged some would have to close where there was significant overlap.
