Claims that Pizza Express will close more than 150 of its restaurants are unfounded, insiders say.
Hony Capital, which owns the restaurant chain, is planning to restructure its massive £1.1bn debt, but closures are unlikely.
According to Debtwire no more than 25 of the chain’s 480 UK and Ireland establishments are loss making, and those losses total only around £1m.
