Bath’s Royal United Hospital seeks partner for £35m dev

Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a partner to deliver and operate a circa 375-bedroom scheme for staff and students.

The trust has launched a hunt for a student and staff housing provider to secure investments and bring forward the development over the next two years.

The project will involve developing around 200 new bedrooms and remodelling the existing 150 units. It will include restoration of the Grade II listed building.

Royal United Hospitals may take a minor equity, but will sell the leasehold interest to a special purpose vehicle, in which the Staff and Student Housing Development Partnership with be the majority or sole equity stakeholder.
