A redundant water pumping station in West Yorkshire has sold at auction for more than six times its guide price.
Yorkshire Water had listed the 0.2-acre parcel of land on the banks of the River Aire in Shipley at a guide price of between £5,000 and £10,000. However, the property sold at Pugh & Co’s October auction for £65,000.
Pugh & Co said that the site, off Dockfield Road in Shipley, could be purchased as a development opportunity, subject to planning consent.
The next Pugh & Co auctions will take place on 3 and 5 December at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester and Leeds United Football Club.
