Baroness Margaret Ford OBE is to join Lendlease as an independent non-executive director.
She will take on the role in March 2020. Ford currently chairs NewRiver REIT and Scottish media company STV Group.
Ford led the Olympic Park Legacy Company, the public sector organisation responsible for the master planning, development and maintenance of the Queen Elizabeth Park between 2006 and 2012.
Prior to this, she was managing director of social infrastructure and development at the Royal Bank of Canada. She joined RBC after stepping down as the chair of English partnerships, where she spent six years leading a new approach to housing and regeneration across England.
Lendlease chairman Michael Ullmer said: “[Margaret] has extensive commercial and board experience in our core segments of development and construction in the UK market, in particular in urban regeneration, which represents a significant component of our forward pipeline. Margaret also has a deep understanding of the interface between development and the public sector.”
