WeWork will lay off 2,400 staff as it attempts to regain control of its finances.
The figure is significantly lower than the 4,000 estimated earlier in the month. Dismissed staff have complained about inadequate severance terms, in stark contrast to Adam Neumann’s £1.7bn golden goodbye.
WeWork has already outsourced its cleaning staff to JLL, which has promised to offer them jobs “for the time being”.
