Redrow appoints regional chief executive for greater London

Housebuilder Redrow has promoted Mark Parker to the role of regional chief executive for greater London.

Parker, who is divisional managing director of Redrow’s east London business, joined the business in 2015 to set up its presence in north London and deliver its 2,900-home Colindale Gardens development.

Before this, he was managing director at Telford Homes for more than a decade.

The promotion forms part of a wider restructuring for the greater London team as the business seeks to grow its operation in outer London boroughs. The east and west London operations will be brought together under Parker’s leadership.

A combined sales and marketing team will be led by regional sales and marketing director James Holmear, while Ricardo Rossetti, previously planning director, will oversee land as well as planning acquisitions.

Development director Paul Muldowney, previously commercial director, will lead three operational teams handling construction, commercial, technical and customer services for all developments.

The London region will continue to work closely with group operations as well as Harrow Estates, Redrow’s forward land holdings operation.

Matthew Pratt, chief operating officer at Redrow, said: “These changes will allow us to serve key stakeholders and partners more comprehensively and better supports the growth of the partnership aspect of our business as well.”

Parker said: “This is the beginning of an exciting phase for Redrow in London as we continue our hard work in creating sustainable communities that provide Londoners with well-located homes across the capital.”

Earlier this year the division acquired 1.2 acres of underused land in New Malden, south-west London, from Tesco for 447 new homes, and achieved planning for its joint venture sites in Croydon, south London, with Menta and Alperton with Peabody.

In September, Redrow was given the go-ahead on a 420-home scheme in Brentford, west London, as part of a joint venture with Catalyst Housing.
