Sports Direct has put the lease of Lillywhites on the market.
The 97-year lease for the six floor store on London’s Piccadilly, once known as the Harrods of Sports, has been put on the market as its landlord, Criterion Capital, conducts rent review talks.
Documents sent to potential buyers say rents for the occupier could be as high as £4m a year. Mike Ashley’s company, which bought the lease in 2002, is understood to pay less than £1m a year.
