Insurance firm Chaucer is under offer to take up 44,000 sq ft at the Scalpel, EC3.
The insurance heavyweight, currently based at 30 Fenchurch Street, is set to lease floors six, seven and eight at the 35-floor building.
Chaucer is the latest tenant to snap up space at the Scalpel, following insurance group Convex taking floors 32-34 and Britannia Financial Group signing up for floors 28 and 29 in June.
Other tenants include owner, WR Berkley, which occupies around a quarter of the building, as well as private equity firm Lombard International, law firm Morrison & Foerster and National Australia Bank.
The Scalpel is now more than 80% let or under offer across its 387,000 sq ft total office floor space.
There are six floors still available at the building, amounting to just over 64,000 sq ft.
American insurance firm WR Berkeley secured planning to build the tower for its European operations in 2013. It acted as financier and developer.
Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE are leasing agents for the Scalpel.
