Formal plans for a €1bn innovation hub at Dublin’s Grand Canal Docks have been published.
The proposals include an tech campus for Trinity College and space for start-ups.
While most of the money for the regeneration will come from the commercial investment, borrowing and philanthropy, 15% will be injected by the government to encourage tech innovation in the city.
Meanwhile tech giant Google has used its Dublin HQ to exploit the “double Irish” loophole to pay no tax on $40bn of profits over the past three years.
