Looking for the most affordable place to commute to London?

Wolverhampton, with a combined cost of just £7,483, is deemed the most affordable commuter dormitory for Birmingham, while Hindley (£6,883) does the job for Manchester and Dunfermline (£7,530) is the most cost-effective choice for Edinburgh.

Those wanting to live cheap but work in Bristol are advised to cross the border into Wales, with mortgage and travel from Newport costing £10,166.
