Shell company hides owner of Harry and Meghan’s Vancouver hideaway

The owner of the £10.5m Canadian mansion where Harry and Meghan stayed is being kept a mystery by a soon-to-be outlawed shell company.

The couple spent their Christmas and New Year at Mille Fleurs, a seafront home on Vancouver Island.

But the identity of who actually owns the property is kept secret as it, along with 27 other properties in the area, is owned by the Towner Bay Country Club. Buyers do not pay for the homes directly, but instead pay for shares in the club.

The scheme has proven so popular with many launderers that new legislation is being based to ban it.

It is believed that the owner of Mille Fleurs is a Russian businessman, possibly Russian-Israeli billionaire Yuri Milner, although Mr Milner has denied this.

The previous owner of Mille Fleurs was Bernadette Wolfswinkel, wife of disgraced property magnate Conley Wolfswinkel.
