Labour leader hopeful ‘bends truth’ about career as property lawyer

Labour leader hopeful Rebecca Long-Bailey has been accused of bending the truth after claiming that she worked as a lawyer to “save the NHS”.

The Labour MP, seen by many as the “Corbyn continuity candidate” for Labour’s leadership, was a solicitor with commercial law firm Hill Dickinson, specialising in commercial property and contracts.

She frequently worked on NHS contracts as part of her work.
