A Deloitte employee has been diagnosed with coronavirus, after returning from a personal trip to Asia.
The staff member is now in hospital.
A Deloitte UK spokesperson said one of the floors in its Midtown headquarters had been impacted.
The spokesperson added that the business had taken “precautionary measures based on our firm-wide guidelines and advice from Public Health England”.
According to current government advice, all surfaces that the person has come into contact with must be cleaned, including potentially contaminated high-contact areas such as toilets, door handles and telephones.
It is understood that the employee had been visiting Japan.
