Superdrug demands 25% rent cut

Superdrug has become the latest retailer to demand lower rents from landlords as the coronavirus crisis continues.

In a letter to landlords the high-street health and beauty chain is demanding “a rent reduction as opposed to a rent deferment” of 25% for a minimum of three months.

The 800-store chain is owned by Li Ka-shing, one of Asia’s richest tycoons, and has continued to operate during the lockdown.
