Frasers Property UK has raised more than £20,000 for food charity FareShare through its Do Something Good in May campaign.
The team collectively clocked up more than 2,500 km in running, walking, cycling and spinning the distance between all of its UK offices and properties. To ensure that they achieved their £5,000 goal, they also got creative by baking, making jigsaws and doing daily yoga challenges.
The campaign received donations from 200 people, doubling its initial target to reach £10,000, and a fund match of £10,000 was also made by Frasers Property UK.
FareShare is the UK’s national network for charitable food redistributors. Made up of 17 independent organisations, it delivers to nearly 11,000 frontline charities and community groups.

Avison Young helps ‘reskill the recovery’
Avison Young is backing a new campaign launched by the London Progression Collaboration called Reskilling the Recovery, which is helping to support the capital’s SMEs as they recover from the Covid-19 crisis.
The real estate firm is pledging to give a proportion of its unspent apprenticeship levy to London’s SMEs, paying for apprenticeship training for new or existing staff.
The purpose of the campaign is to boost the number of apprenticeships available to Londoners in the key sectors hardest hit by the lockdown, including retail, hospitality and construction, where it is predicted that one in five smaller businesses could collapse due to the crisis.

Hill Group unveils prototype home
Hill Group has launched a home prototype for Foundation 200 as part of its charitable initiative. Foundation 200 is the group’s pledge to build 200 bespoke homes for homeless people over five years.
The new prototype, built using modern methods of construction, is temporarily located on its site in Marleigh Cambridge, a joint venture with Marshall Group.

The home was launched virtually via a live webcast event watched by more than 300 people from across the property industry.
LandAid’s coronavirus fund nears £1m target
LandAid has launched its virtual 10k run – QuaranTEN. Between 8 and 15 July, LandAid is asking you to take 10,000 steps, run 10 km or run 10 miles to raise valuable funds for charitable programmes that support LandAid’s long-term strategic mission to end youth homelessness in the UK. To sign up, visit www.landaid.org.
The launch of QuaranTEN comes as LandAid’s Covid-19 Emergency Fund nears its £1m target. The fund has distributed more than £600,000 to charities across the country dealing with the impacts of Covid-19 on vulnerable young people. The charities include New Horizon Youth Centre, which provides emergency hotels and other temporary accommodation to young people, and St Basils, a support base for young people to boost their confidence and skills and increase their opportunities to prevent homelessness.
Paul Morrish, LandAid chief executive, said: “We have been astounded by the zeal and enthusiasm of our supporters in getting behind the Emergency Fund. These funds have made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of young people across the country dealing with Covid-19 – giving them financial, emotional and practical support at the time they needed it most.
“The pandemic is not over, and charities responding to Covid-19 are working harder than ever and need our continued support. Therefore, we will be keeping the Emergency Fund open for some time.”
