FirstGroup is looking to increase its call centre space in Sheffield by two-thirds, as the company rapidly grows its footprint into the city.
The Aberdeen-headquartered transport company has so far taken up around 12,000 sq ft at the six-storey office building The Square, for a customer contact centre.
The company signed for 6,000 sq ft in December, and last month agreed to take an extra 6,000 sq ft.
The company has an option to take up the final floor if it wishes to do so, which would take its footprint in the city to circa 20,000 sq ft.
A FirstGroup spokesperson said: “We are expanding our customer contact centre in Sheffield, with our team there growing throughout 2020. It’s good to be recruiting local people to take up many of these new customer service agent and other roles, particularly at this time of economic uncertainty.”
CPP and JLL are joint leasing agents on The Square.
