Argent’s Strongman to head up Oxford University Development

Argent managing partner Anna Strongman has been named the new chief executive of Oxford University Development, a partnership between University of Oxford and Legal & General.

From September, Strongman will oversee the development of thousands of new homes for students and staff, as well as university-led innovation districts.

Set up in June 2019, the OUD’s first project involves redeveloping university graduate accommodation at Court Place Gardens. Legal & General’s Future Cities business is providing up to £4bn of financing for projects over the next decade.

John Cummins, managing director of Future Cities at Legal & General Capital, said Strongman’s “diverse experience working on some of the country’s most iconic regeneration schemes will be an asset to the partnership”.

Strongman is being replaced as managing partner at Argent by Nick Searl and Robert Evans.
