KKR has appointed Simon Marrison, LaSalle Investment Management’s chairman for Europe, as a senior adviser for real estate in Europe.
Marrison’s new role will take effect on 7 September, after he retires from LaSalle IM’s European business. He will advise KKR on real estate investments across Europe and contribute to its growth in the region.
Marrison has joined after 19 years at LaSalle IM, serving as chief executive for Europe between 2007 and 2019, head of continental Europe from 2001 to 2007, and chairman since July 2019.
Before joining LaSalle, Marrison was country manager for Rodamco France. He has also served as a non-executive director at TR Property Investment Trust since 2011, and will become a senior independent director in July.
KKR Real Estate has more than $10bn of assets under management. Its investments in Europe have focused on residential, hospitality, student housing and industrial and logistics.
Recent investments this year include Mirastar, Etche France, and logistics assets at Greenogue Business Park in Ireland.
