Hackney Council has approved plans from Summix for a 22-storey hotel on the Dial-A-Cab site near the Old Street Roundabout, N1.
The developer acquired the 0.4-acre unconsented site next to Shoreditch’s Silicon Roundabout for £23.3m in 2017. It is one of the few remaining undeveloped opportunities around Old Street’s Tech City.
Summix will develop 54,000 sq ft of co-working space on the ground, mezzanine and four upper floors, with the hotel on floors 5-20.
