Russia has been allowed to gain influence in the UK through “golden visas” and pouring billions of “dirty money” into real estate.
The Russia report published today by parliament’s intelligence select committee shows how significant interests have been built up over decades while the government turned a blind eye.
“This level of integration — in ‘Londongrad’ in particular,” it states, “means that any measures now being taken by the government are not preventative but rather constitute damage limitation.”
