The Obamas are facing opposition over plans for a beachfront holiday home in Hawaii.
Concerns have been mounting over Marty Nesbit’s plan to build three houses on Oahu, one of which is thought to be for the former president and his family, after bones from an ancestral burial site were removed to make way for a swimming pool.
Now local groups are worried that the development will threaten an old turtle pond and accelerate the erosion of the beach.
