Appledore shipyard gets new lease of life

Britain’s smallest shipyard will sail again after being bought by the owner of Harland & Wolff.

InfraStrata, which bought Harland & Wolff last Autumn, has paid £7m for the Appledore shipyard in North Devon.

Long-time private owner Langham Industries chose to sell the facility after its tenants and operators, Babcock, were forced to shut up shop after receiving no military contracts.
