Market wrap: Purplebricks tops real estate’s risers

Purplebricks was the top riser in the property sector today, with a 7.59% hike on its share price to 85p.

Regeneration specialist Harworth Group and Schroders Real Estate Investment Trust also saw share price increases of more than 5%, to 100p and 31.65p respectively.

Dukemont Capital was the top faller in the sector, with a 6.06% drop in its share price to 0.78p.

Intercontinental Hotels Group shuffled its way into the top FTSE 100 fallers with a 1.6% fall in its share price to 4,377p.

M&G nudged its way into the FTSE 100 top risers with a 2.69% rise to 175.7p.

Both the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 ended the day up. The FTSE 100 was up by 0.14% to 6,045 points, and the FTSE 250 was up 1% to 17,753 points.
