Credit Suisse is pushing ahead with plans to trim back in London in favour of a new hub in Madrid.
The bank has applied for a banking licence in the Spanish capital, where it wishes to expand after Brexit.
Plans involve shifting middle and back-office operations, as well as a small number of traders.
