Supermarket Income REIT has bought a Tesco supermarket in Bracknell, Berkshire, from a client of CBRE Global Investors for £39.5m.
The 7.3-acre site also includes a 400-space car park and the acquisition reflects a net initial yield of 5.7%.
The REIT is financing the purchase from its revolving credit facility provided by HSBC.
Ben Green, principal at Atrato Capital, investment adviser to Supermarket Income REIT, said: “The store is situated in a prime location and is an important online grocery fulfilment hub, supporting both home delivery and click and collect.”
