Hadley and Clarion sound out DJ school at Ilford site

Regeneration specialist Hadley Property Group and affordable housing company Clarion Housing Group are giving young people the chance to take DJ classes at their latest development.

The companies have teamed up with music education provider FutureDJs, which will take ground-floor space for a state-of-the-art digital music academy in the partnership’s recently acquired mixed-use development site on Goodmayes High Road, Ilford.

Ahead of that, Hadley and Clarion have committed to helping FutureDJs find temporary studio space in the capital, and will subsidise lessons.

FutureDJs has been working in UK schools since 2015, when DJing and music production was added to the music curriculum. The company’s industry ambassadors include Goldie (pictured) and the rapper Ghetts.

In its new studio, the company will launch a virtual classroom technology, Virtuoso, so that teaching can be carried out remotely.
