Shaftesbury’s stock gained 3.5% today despite the firm collecting less than half of rent due since 1 April.
The West End landlord closed up on 477.2p, after revealing in a trading update this morning that it had waived £12.9m of outstanding rent bills.
Meanwhile, Hammerson dropped by 4.4% to 15.91p after announcing it had completed the rights issue launched as part of a recapitalisation of the business.
The FTSE 100 ended the day up 0.34% on 5,842. The FTSE 250 ended up 1.44% on 17,044.
