Picton appoints ex-Scottish Enterprise chief as chair designate

Picton has appointed ex-Scottish Enterprise chief executive Lena Wilson as chair designate and non-executive director.

Wilson will join the business at the beginning of next year and take over from Nicholas Thompson.

She was chief executive of Scottish Enterprise from 2009 to 2017, after having been the business’ chief operating officer.

Wilson was also chief executive of Scotland’s international trade and investment arm Scottish Development International, and a senior investment advisor to The World Bank in Washington DC.

She currently holds non-executive director positions at NatWest Group, Intertek Group, and Argentex Group.

Nicholas Thompson, chair of Picton, said: “We are delighted to appoint Lena to the Picton Board, recognising the wealth of experience she brings. I look forward to working with her prior to my departure next year.”
