Tide plans 1,000 student beds in Isle of Dogs

Tide Construction is planning to develop 1,070 student bedrooms at 30 Marsh Wall, E14, in the Isle of Dogs.

The developer acquired the site from LPA receivers earlier this year, after its owner was arrested by Interpol following charges of fraudulent investment.

Tide has lodged an environmental impact assessment for a 47-storey student scheme, to replace the previous intended hotel use and former consents for residential.

It follows similar high-rise schemes in Croydon with the world’s largest modular tower of 44 storeys at its George Street BTR scheme for Greystar, which is set to be exceeded by a 49-storey co-living scheme at the neighbouring site on College Road.
