European asset manager Amundi has named Marc Bertrand as its new chief executive of real estate, replacing Jean-Marc Coly.
Bertrand has joined Amundi from La Française, where he has worked since 1999, latterly as chairman of its global real estate investment management division in France.
He initially joined La Française as head of management control for France, before he was promoted to chief financial officer in 2000 and director of administration and finance in 2005.
After that, he became managing director of La Française REM France in 2007.
Bertrand began his career in 1994 at GAN Assurances, as a management controller.
Euronext-listed Amundi is a subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole group. It has around 100m clients and manages some €1.6tn in assets.
