Developer sought for £400m Belfast mixed-use hub

Public transport service provider Translink is seeking a masterdeveloper for a mixed-use scheme in Belfast with a value of up to £400m.

Translink has launched a hunt for a partner to develop the 1.3m sq ft scheme at Weavers Cross.

The long-awaited development will comprise 1m sq ft of offices, a 74,000 sq ft hotel, 19,000 sq ft of retail and 200 homes on an 8-acre site in Belfast City Centre. Translink will retain the freehold to the site.

It will be built around the 161,500 sq ft new transport hub, which Translink says will act as a catalyst for the regeneration.

The transport provider has invited interested parties to complete a questionnaire due to be returned next month, in the first phase of a formal procurement.
