Vastint gets green light for next phase of Aire Park

Vastint has been given the nod by Leeds City Council for the next phase of its Aire Park scheme, which includes more than 301,000 sq ft of commercial space.

Approval was given for two office buildings of between six and eight storeys with flexible space on the ground floor for shops, gyms, restaurants and cafes.

It marks the next stage of the development after Vastint was granted planning permission to create a 2ha park within the Aire Park masterplan.

Construction will start in spring 2021 and complete in 2023.

Vastint managing director Andrew Cobden said: “At the same time, we will open a large park that we hope to be an interesting flexible space allowing for outdoor events, surrounded by shops, cafes, offices and homes. These first buildings are the start of our work in Leeds to create a thriving community within a new unique, urban district.”
