The Eden Project is seeking £70m of government funding to create a northern outpost on the coast of Lancashire.
The aim is to create a year-round destination on the site of Bubbles, a former swimming pool on the shore in Morecambe.
The 140-page business case describes the £125m project as “shovel-ready”.
The mixed-use scheme is expected to support 2,500 jobs once complete
The site holds hybrid planning consent for 1,493 homes, 475 hotel beds and 31,000 sq ft of commercial space
