Landsec’s O’Shea takes COO role in leadership reshuffle

Landsec has rejigged its executive leadership team, creating a new chief operating officer role for Colette O’Shea and hiring a new retail managing director.

O’Shea was previously managing director of the London and retail portfolios.

Bruce Findlay has joined the business as managing director of retail. He was formerly chief commercial officer at Furla.

Findlay will report to O’Shea alongside Marcus Geddes, managing director of central London, and David Heaford, managing director of development.

O’Shea will in turn report to chief executive Mark Allan alongside incoming chief financial officer Vanessa Simms; managing director for people and corporate services Barry Hoffman; managing director of strategy, research and innovation Nick de Mestre; and new managing director of corporate affairs Chris Hogwood, who will join from Portland Communications in February next year.

Landsec has also appointed Liz Miles as company secretary. Tim Ashby will step down as group general counsel and company secretary with effect from 1 January, after holding the role for five years.

The Landsec leadership team, reporting to Allan:

  • Martin Greenslade, chief financial officer (to transition to Vanessa Simms upon her arrival in 2021)
  • Colette O’Shea, chief operating officer
  • Nick de Mestre, managing director, strategy, research & innovation
  • Barry Hoffman, managing director, people and corporate services
  • Chris Hogwood, managing director, corporate affairs

Reporting to O’Shea:

  • Bruce Findlay, managing director, retail
  • David Heaford, managing director, development
  • Marcus Geddes, managing director, central London
