Laurus Property Partners, a real estate finance advisory firm, has hired a senior director from CBRE to bulk out its capital advisory business.
Richard Day will join the firm to work alongside Andrew Wheldon, who established its London office.
Day was a senior director in debt advisory at CBRE, and earlier in his career worked at Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo.
Founders and managing partners Oliver Richter and Matthias Dahmen said Day will allow the company to “continue to build a ‘best in class’ pan-European capital advisory business”, adding in a joint statement: “The European financing markets are more complex to navigate now than they have been for many years, and as such the quality of advice and expertise Laurus can bring to a process has never been more relevant.”
Richter and Dahmen opened the doors at Laurus in 2011, since which time the company has built a client base across Germany, the UK and Ireland.
