Travis Perkins to hand back Covid cash

Travis Perkins will hand £50m of public money back to the Treasury.

The DIY retailer, which owns the 240-store Wickes chain as well as Toolstation, said that it would pay back some of the rates relief and furlough cash it received.

It follows the decision last week by Kingfisher, which owns sector leader B&Q, to pay back £130m in rates relief, having already repaid £23m in furlough money.
