Jaeger bomb: M&S nears deal to take brand, but not shops

Marks & Spencer is nearing a deal to buy Jaeger out of administration.

Jaeger, which was part of Philip Day’s Edinburgh Woollen Mill group, collapsed into administration in November after efforts to find a rescue deal failed. M&S had expressed interest in Jaeger before its collapse.

However, the M&S deal is not expected to involve taking on Jaeger’s 63 remaining stores.
