A surge of more than a quarter took shares in London & Associated Properties to 9.5p today – the biggest real estate rise of trading, although barely lifting the stock from an all-time low.
Among the bigger property players, British Land enjoyed a 4.3% increase to finish the day at 488.8p, more than offsetting yesterday’s drop. Landsec was up by almost 4% and SEGRO nudged up by less than a percentage point.
Falling stocks included MJ Gleeson, down by 4.8%, and RDI REIT, down by 4.5%.
At closing, the FTSE 100 stood at 6,841 points, up 3.5%. The FTSE 250 was at 20,973, a rise of 1.2%.
