The crisis on England’s high streets could result in 400,000 job losses, with affluent towns in the south east most at risk.

According to a report by KPMG, Bracknell in the London commuter belt is the most at risk of the 109 towns studied.

Other vulnerable towns include Basingstoke, Hemel Hempstead, Warrington and Guildford.
