Marylebone landlord the Howard de Walden Estate has appointed investment expert Karl Sternberg to its board.
Sternberg, who joins as a non-executive director, was a founding partner of institutional asset manager Oxford Investment Partners, and has also served as a non-executive on a number of listed company boards, such as Jupiter Fund Management and Monks Investment Trust.
Sternberg said: “The Howard de Walden Estate has curated one of the most fascinating and diverse property portfolios in London. The pandemic has brought new challenges but I am greatly looking forward to working with the board to help further enhance this unique environment and its asset base.”
He replaces Sir Christopher Howes on the board who is stepping down after 18 years as a non-executive director.
Sir William Proby, chairman of the Howard de Walden Estate, said: “We are extremely grateful to Sir Christopher for his invaluable contribution to the board and our strategy over very many years, and we are delighted to be welcoming someone as experienced as Karl to the board.
