Cromwell Property Group has hired the former co-head of real estate at Aberdeen Standard Investments to lead its European arm.
Pertti Vanhanen will take over as managing director for Europe from Mark McLaughlin, who is leaving the group after two decades, the past four years of which saw him lead the European division.
Cromwell’s European business manages €3.5bn (£3.1bn) across 160 assets and 2,300 tenants, with 210 members of staff working across 11 countries.
Vanhanen was co-head of real estate alongside David Paine at the enlarged Aberdeen Standard Investments, having worked as head of property for Aberdeen Asset Management before its merger with Standard Life.
