Wealth management firm JM Finn clinches new city office

Wealth manager JM Finn has signed for a new London office near Moorgate, EC2, which its 250 employees will move into during the latter half of this year.

The company will take more than 28,700 square feet across the entire fifth floor and part of the sixth at 25 Copthall Avenue, leaving its current five-floor premises at Coleman Street.

JM Finn hopes the new space will provide a more efficient layout and enable more flexibility for workers, as well as accommodating plans for growing the company.

It is among the firms that have signed new leasing deals in central London despite the winter lockdown, while many other bosses delay decisions until coronavirus restrictions have eased.

Last week, research indicated that more than half of London’s financial services firms have concrete plans to reduce office space in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, with employees still working remotely throughout the first quarter.

Hugo Bedford, chief executive officer at JM Finn, said: “We have been in our current home for 13 years, during which time the firm has changed considerably, not least due to the change of working patterns brought on by Covid-19.

“25 Copthall Avenue allows for increased flexibility of space with more contemporary amenities, all within a short walk of our current office.”

The company will start to move staff into their new home in the final quarter of this year, having taken possession to fit out the accommodation in May.

Agents Knight Frank and Simon Garfield Property acted on the deal.
