Luxury developer wins £80m Camden Council scheme

Camden Council has selected luxury residential developer Godfrey London as its preferred buyer for an £80m mixed-use scheme in West Hampstead, NW6.

The council is in talks to sell Godfrey a consented site at the former industrial estate on Liddell Road, with a potential deal expected this year.

The long-awaited project would see 106 homes across two buildings designed by Maccreanor Lavington architects and masterplanners. It includes development of 40,000 sq ft of workspace, which the developer would hand back to the council to let.

Camden obtained consent for the scheme in 2015, with the extension of Kingsgate Primary School in the first phase paid for by the development sale of the second phase. It launched the procurement in 2017.

Savills is advising Camden Council.
